Bangladesh Govt announces 7 Days lockdown for the whole country. The government has announced a nationwide lockdown for a week from Monday. Awami League general secretary and bridge minister Obaidul Quader confirmed the information at a virtual briefing at his residence on Saturday, 03 April 2021 morning.

Another 50 people died of the coronavirus in the country in 24 hours on Friday. The death toll has risen to 9,155. Besides, in the last 24 hours, a maximum of 6,830 corona patients was identified in the history of the country. With this, the number of corona patients in the country stands at 6 lakh, 24 thousand 594 people.
Earlier on Thursday (April 1), the corona was identified in the bodies of another 6,469 people in the country. Besides, 59 more people died among the victims.
The government took such a tough decision after the last few days of continuous identification and death in the epidemic.
Earlier, the government had issued an 18-point directive for two weeks to control corona infection. In the directive, all types of public gatherings (social/ political/religious/ other) are restricted, all types of public gatherings are prohibited in highly contagious areas, the government directs to discourage public gatherings on the occasion of any social function including marriage/birthday.
Also to ensure proper hygiene in all religious places of worship including mosques, not to carry more than 50 percent of the capacity of public transport in accordance with the hygiene rules, to restrict traffic, to ensure 14 days quarantine of foreign passengers, to close all educational institutions and coaching centers, all public and private The government issued 18 directives including 50 percent manpower management.
