Buying Guide for Best Ticket To Ride Sails And Rails
Overview:
The Ticket to Ride Sails and Rails board game is a two-player version of the classic Ticket to Ride series. It combines two of the favorite versions, Europe and USA 1910, for an exciting experience. Players will be able to make their way across the map, claiming routes and completing tickets in order to gain points. The player with the most points at the end of the game is declared victorious!
Objective:
The objective of Ticket to Ride Sails and Rails is to be the first player to complete seven tickets by collecting colored train cards and ferry route cards. Along with this, players can also compete for bonus points by claiming routes between cities as well as building longest continuous routes.
Components:
Ticket to Ride Sails and Rails includes a double-sided game board featuring Europe on one side and USA on the other side; 110 colored train cards (45 green, 45 red, 10 yellow); 150 ferry route cards (50 blue, 50 black, 30 white); 36 tickets (18 each side); 15 station markers; 4 wooden scoring markers; 1 rulebook.
Setup:
Each player will select a side (Europe or USA) and place their scoring marker on the starting space of their chosen side’s scoring track. Each player should also take five colored train cards from either side – they can choose whichever color they like – as well as one ticket from each side of the board. Finally, each player should place two station markers near two cities on their chosen side of the board.
Gameplay:
Ticket to Ride Sails and Rails is played over several rounds until one player has completed seven tickets or all tickets have been completed by both players. During each round, players will draw from either train cards or ferry route cards before taking turns claiming routes between cities on their chosen sides of the board or completing tickets by playing sets of matching train cards or ferry route cards. Players can also place station markers near cities in order to gain bonus points at the end of the game if they complete longest continuous routes between those cities. The first player to complete seven tickets or all available tickets wins!
Strategy:
The key strategy for Ticket to Ride Sails and Rails is being able to plan out your moves ahead of time in order to claim valuable routes before your opponent does so that you can gain bonus points at the end of the game as well as complete your tickets in time! Additionally, it’s important not only consider which routes are best for you but also which routes are best for your opponent so that you can block them from achieving what they’re aiming for!
